Shazdeh mahan garden

Ganj-Ali Khan complex is composed of a school, square, caravanserai, public bath, water reservoir, a mint house, mosque and bazaar.

  • The square is similar to Naghsh-e Jahan Square in Isfahan and Amir Chakhmagh Square in Yazd and the Bazaar is connected to this Square through iwans and vaults.
  • The bath is unique work architecture with beautiful tile works, paintings, stuccos, and arches. The most interesting of its architecture is that the sculpted stones on the ceiling match those on the floor.
  • The plan of the caravanserai is based on the four-iwan typology, with double-story halls centered on tall iwans enveloping four sides of an open courtyard. There is an octagonal fountain at the center of the courtyard which is chamfered at the corners.
  • The interior decorations of the mint consist of plaster stucco and brickwork. The building has a tall dome crowned by a cupola to admit light and air. The mint was converted into a numismatics museum.

the first point of vakil complex is bath or traditional tea-house which has beautiful tile-work and ceramic-works and divided in two parts: dressing room and hot chamber.

Kerman Bazaar with exquisite plasterwork and wall paintings is the greatest one in the country in terms of market order. It has included invaluable attractions such as Ganj-Ali Khan (400-year old), Vakil Complex, Sardar House and Qeysarieh. Wherever you step in bazaar you will feel a weird and different feeling. Mozafarieh bazaar represent the most common aspect of the bazaar, that’s, business and common public purchases to meet their daily needs. The tourist and ancient monument lovers are mostly seen in Ganj-Ali Khan and Arg Bazaars.

Moayedi ice-house is a cone shaped building. The massive insulation and the continuous cooling waters that spiral down its side keep the ice stored there in winter frozen throughout the summer. The ice is broken up and move to caverns deep in the ground where ambient low temperatures remain constant and allow the ice to remain in a frozen state.

Kerman windmill is the largest windmill structure in middle east which has a ceremonial usage.

Shazdeh Garden has an entrance and a gate at the lower end and a two-floored residential structure at the upper end. The distance between these two is lined by water fountains and the garden has two minarets with turquoise tiles.

Shotor-Galou mansion of Mahan is considered as one of the unique architecture attractions of Iran’s south east. in the past, in order to maintain the safety of gardens and houses in the route of aqueducts and springs, the entrance and exit of water was designed in a way that no live creature could enter it.
