Hormuz, located near the southern shores of Iran, is an island facing the entrance to the Persian Gulf. Potable water comes from the continent through an aqueduct and despite being devoid of native vegetation, it remains one of the most attractive islands in the Middle East. The island is surrounded by a beautiful coastal road that opens up to a view to an extraordinary landscape.

The Island of Hormuz is nicknamed “Rainbow Island” thanks to the presence of a high concentration of iron oxides (Gelack), and in fact, the darker sand causes the sea waves to take on a more intense and reddish color. Also referred to as the “tide of blood,” Hormuz Island’s red water is known for its curious, colorful tinted tides.

Rainbow Valley is a narrow valley with rocky structures, multi-hued earth and sand, and colorful mountains in shades of red, purple, yellow, ochre and blue – the result of the uneven cooling of molten rock.

In Hormuz Statues Valley (Darreh-e Tandis-ha) tall rocks have been sculpted into strange shapes by the elements and the whole path of the valley is filled with crystalline sands. Formed by wind and water erosion, these masterpieces of nature offer a unique landscape.

Zaferani Plain glare among the blue waters of the Persian Gulf. The land of colorful soils is part of the Hormuz Island, which, as a yellow carpet between the red and colorful mountains, enchants the eyes of every visitor. The plain like a yellow river flow through the mountains and takes you into a world of colors and roles. Under the surface of Zaferani Plain in Hormuz Island, cavities of salt crystals have been created that make unique scenes.

To get to the silent valley (Darreh-ye Sokut) you have to walk a few hundred yards to enjoy the salt landscape in this valley, reach the rocky wall at the end of this path. Rock salt releases a very positive energy so you can be amazed specific silence in this valley

Salt Dome is located on the south western part of Qeshm of island and host the longest salt cave of the world (namakdan cave) that has 6 km length. The salt domes have many interesting aspects such as falls, salt springs and salt caves. Some of the most amazing structures that may be found inside the salt cave are Stalactites, Stalagmites and salt crystals formed by sedimentation of salt.
