Drive to Hamedan. Hamadan is home to many poets and cultural celebrities. The city is also said to be among the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Hamadan has always been well known for handicrafts like leather, ceramics, and carpets. Visiting the ancient city of Hegmataneh, the tomb of Baba Taher; the great poem of 11th century who is famous for his different style of poetry. Baba Tahir’s poems are recited to the present day all over Iran accompanied by the Sitar, the three stringed viol or lute. Continue the visits by visiting the tomb of the great polymath Avicenna. Who is famous for his great book of The Canon of Medicine, a medical encyclopedia.  For the afternoon visiting the waterfall and the important cuneiform inscriptions of Ganjnameh. Accommodation.

Drive to Kermanshah, about 190km to east from Hamedan. Visiting Behistun; the UNESCO World heritage site, located along the ancient trade route linking the Iranian high plateau with Mesopotamia and features remains from the prehistoric times to the Median, Achaemenid, Sassanian and Ilkhanid periods. The principal monument of this archaeological site is the bas-relief and cuneiform inscription ordered by Darius I, The Great, when he rose to the throne of the Persian Empire, 521 BC. Continue to Kermanshah, visiting Tagh-e Bostan; a site with a series of large rock reliefs from the era of Sassanid Empire of Persia, carved around the 4th century AD. In Kermanshah will visit Jameh mosque and Bazaar of the city and the historical and ceremonial building of Moaven-al Mulk. Accommodation in Kermanshah.

Drive to Sanandaj (140km approximately from Kermanshah). On the way will visit Palangan village. It is one of the most beautiful stepped villages with special architecture and distinct nature in different seasons. Arrival to Sanandaj, the capital of Kurdistan Province. Accommodation.

Sanandaj occupies a fertile valley in the Zagros Mountains. The city is a major manufacturing and retail trade center with many diverse products, including carpets, cotton textiles, leather, metal ware, cutlery, pottery, wood furniture and wood crafts, milled rice, refined sugar, and processed foods. Its old bazaar is noted as a place to buy Kurdish handicrafts. Visiting Vaziri House (the anthropology Museum of Kurdistan), Jame Mosque and Vakil-al Mulk Mansion. Accommodation.

Drive about 189 km to Takab, where you will visit the most important firetemple of Sassanid era; Takht-e Soleiman, also known as Azar Goshnasp Fire Temple. (3rd to 6th centuries) accommodation in Takab.

Drive to Tabriz (about 298 km), visiting Kandovan Village, a rocky village with more than 700 years of antiquity. This village exemplifies manmade cliff dwellings which are still inhabited. The troglodyte homes, excavated inside volcanic rocks and tuffs similar to dwellings in the Turkish region of Cappadocia. Accommodation in Tabriz.

Excursion to Jolfa’s Armenian monasteries (about 140 km) where will visit Saint Stephan monastery; constructed in 9th century, the second important Armenian monastery in Iran. This monument is located in 16 kilometers west of Jolfa City and 3 kilometers from southern shore of Aras River in a place named “Qezel Vank” (Red Monastery). The monastery was built in 9th century AD, but it was seriously damaged by earthquake. So, it was refurbished in Safavid period. Also, some measures were taken in Qajar era by Abbas Mirza to maintain and repair it. The whole area of the monastery is located in the heart of mountains and in the middle of the green nature of Jolfa and Azerbaijan Republic borderline. Accommodation in Tabriz.

Tabriz is the most populated city in northwestern Iran, one of the historical capitals of Iran and the present capital of East Azerbaijan province. It is the sixth most populous city in Iran. Today will get familiar with this beautiful city of Iran, visiting the Grand Bazar of Tabriz (UNESCO world heritage site), Blue Mosque Azerbaijan Museum and the public and historical park of Eil Goli. Drive to Ardebil. (about 222 km); This city has a history dating back more than 1,500 years. Here will visit the Safavid family’s mausoleums and tombs, the Sheikh Safi Al-Din Khanegah, Sheikh Safi Shrine, Ethnographic Museum and The Old Bazaar Complex. Continue to Sarein, the small town of hot springs and a local destination for Iranians for spending their vacations. Accommodation in Sarein.

The city was home to the first and biggest port on the southern shores of the Caspian Sea. Today will visit the local market of Vegetables and fishes, and will have an excursion to the Lagoon of Anzali, will stay the sunset at the beautiful beaches of Caspian Sea and will have a special dinner tasting the famous Iranian Caviar.

Drive to the village of Masouleh, architecture is unique here. The buildings have been built into the mountain and are interconnected. Courtyards and roofs both serve as pedestrian areas similar to streets. Masuleh does not allow any motor vehicles to enter, due to its unique layout. It is the only city in Iran with such a prohibition. However, the small streets and many stairs simply wouldn’t make it possible for vehicles to enter. Continue to Fuman, trying their special typical cookies called Kolouche. Accommodation in Fuman.

Drive back to Tehran, visiting the Gilan Rural Heritage Museum to get familiar with the culture and architecture of people in north of Iran. Arrival to Qazvin; Qazvin was a medieval capital of the Safavid dynasty for over forty years (1555-1598) and nowadays is known as the calligraphy capital of Iran. Here will visit Aminiha House, the Grand Bazar and Jameh Mosque. Continue to Tehran and accommodation.
